Door Latch Lubrication

Post by BCBryan » Thu Jan 11, 2024 11:49 am

What was or is now the best way to lubricate the door latch mechanism for the TC?
I can see a very light lub of grease or perhaps graphite. After 75 year mine were incredible dirty, but they still functioned amazingly. With a good cleaning and proper service they should be good for many more years.
Thanks, Bryan.

I use a general purpose grease inside, and a bit of oil at the pin just to help it climb over the striker. I don't feel like they get dirty very quickly, so the grease should be fine for many years.
