I shipped TC0272 from the US to Southampton, then joined up with the car for 11 days of great driving in England. Most of my time was spent visiting other T-ABC members, and the trip is one of the highlights of the year.

TC0272 went 1,100 trouble free miles in the sunny weather of Britain the first two weeks of June. I also drove the car to port in the US from Indianapolis to Baltimore (600 miles), and back again when the car returned. 2,300 miles total for the adventure.

While driving through the center of Abingdon, a lady flagged me down and asked if I would pose with the car so she could take a photo. That’s the norm driving a TC, so I gladly said yes. That led to a conversation about her husband’s old TD he had years ago, and the chatting was on!  It was that way the entire trip – the TC opened up conversations with everyone, from all walks of life .
