I believe that the chrome handbrake lever cannot be removed from the rest of the unit for chroming . I seek to remove the chrome tube of the handbrake to replace it with another. Timberstone is exactly right. Unfortunately on my 1936 T.A. (TIZI) not only the wire from the coil to the distributor can come into contact with loose parts such as the tachometer drive gear box - so can the HT feed to the distributor.
