Re: Chassis Nos.

Murray, It is not generally accepted that you own the car if you have the chassis. There are many precedents. Maybe I am drawing too much on my Morgan experience here, but it is a normal practice for a Morgan chassis to be replaced in a major restoration. The original chassis may be resurrected at a...

Re: Chassis Nos.

Mark, Do you have the title for TC 3409? If not, you don't own that car. You may own the original chassis for TC 3409, but that is it. Don't expect to be able to title your car as TC 3409. There are all sorts of legal precedents here. I'm not a lawyer and don't understand them all myself. I know eve...

Re: Does anybody know the story of TC3409?

Since Mark's frame is damaged, I would suspect that Rolland may have replaced the original frame in his car when he restored it. I don't see it too much in MGs, but this is quite common with Morgans.

Spam from ebay

I made the mistake of registering and bidding on an item from ebay. Ever since, I have been receiveing all sorts of spam from hotbot.com and compuserve.com. To confirm that ebay was the source, I created a new email account on a different domain and registered and bid on an item with ebay. Sure enou...

TC on TV

Did any of the American listers catch the TC on the show The Relic Hunter on Sunday night? If you have never seen the show, I won't bother to explain - but anyway, this episode took place in Ireland where they were looking for the crown of the last King of Ireland. I don't know that much about Irish...

Re: Electric starter switch location in TC

As an alternative to the TD/TF switch, you might consider a bugeye Sprite switch. It is a cable operated switch so you could use the original TC starter pull to operate it. Without really investigating, I would think that a bracket off of the upper starter mounting bolt would be the best location fo...

Re: Original TC air cleaner

Carl, You might consider getting a set of K&N air filters for your TC. I have a set on my '49 and they do seem to perform as advertised. The car does seem to run better - doesn't seem quite as strained at hiway speeds. The only problem is that they don't make them for the 1 1/4" SUs. Mine were inten...

Re: MG Magazine Holiday Special --- Save up to 50% now

I'm not too concerned about MG related ads appearing on the list. Thats the only way I found out about Bob Grunau's services. Considering how spread out the list is all over the globe, an MG service that is well known and in respected in one location may be totally unknown in other areas. And there ...

RE: TC floorboards:
I have a new set still in the box that I don't need - or if shipping
would be too much of a problem I could trace a paper pattern for you.
