Hi all,
The TC tickford is actually a TA Tickford. For the additional rarity, the lister has raised the 'buy it now price' from $60,000 to $70,000.
The lister needs to post some better pics.

According to legend, the TA/TB chassis was widened with outriggers to allow for the wider Tickford body. After the war, and wanting a wider car for the American market, the Tickford chassis was used for the TC. That is the only connection between Tickford and TCs that I am aware of . So, it would be...

Hi Chuck and all, Brass threaded inserts are indeed a door-saver. I have used them on both the TA and SA Tickfords which have heavy doors with excellent results. MG designers knew Tickford doors were heavy and added a third hinge to help out, but as you point out, wood screws eventually 'get tired'....
