Re: TA Luvax Shock Absorbers
Hi Phil, You TA is a late chassis number. Standard fitment would have been rotary Luvax with pressed on Arms. Earlier rotary Luvax had arms retained by cotter pins. There are a number of cases of late TA’s with pressed on arms on the front rotary Luvax and rear rotary Luvax with arms retained by cot...

Re: chassis font size and name?
Hi Chris, I don’t know what font the chassis numbers are stamped in so I’m no help. The size of stamp used is 3/8”. I can tell you that not all number stamps are the same font/ style so if you intend to stamp a replacement chassis rail and want it to look right it’d be best to seek out the right sta...

Re: MGTF performance issue
Good Morning, Yes it is possible to get a result through trial and error however it’ll take time and requires a skill set that is fast becoming a lost art/ trade. I recommend you get your car tuned on a dynometer. Find a shop with a Dyno and a distributor machine that does a bit with old English mot...

MG TA or TB gauges wanted
Greetings Group, I would like to purchase genuine TA or TB gauges. The tachometer and speedometer differ from a TC’s in the drive coupling - they have a round pin not a square recess for the cable attachment. I have an instrument fitter who is capable of converting a TC gauge to a TA TB gauge but it...

XPAG and XPEG Head gasket dimensions
Greetings All, Can someone please tell me where to find or give me dimensions for XPAG and XPEG head gaskets if they are available. I'm after accurate stud and bore spacings. I don't need coolant passages but if they are on the drawing even better. I have the opportunity to have torque plates water ...

Following your hot rod lead, here is the '29 Model A that I used to own. It had a full-house '53 Ford flathead with 3 Stromberg 97's, and a T-10 close ratio 4-speed. Totally old-school with all original Ford parts. Lots of torque, lots of fun!

Re: MY OTHER CAR - Cooper MG
Hi All I recently became the custodian of the Cooper MG, she is a beautiful old racing car that has a rich competition history established by skilled drivers in period and modern historics. The Cooper MG is a single seat circuit car based on a much modified Cooper Type 9. She was the first Cooper to...
