Windwings and Sunvisors
I have set of new never used Tourist Trophy Windwings, Moss part 240-100 - $80. Also a set of Sunvisors, new still in plastic bags. Moss part 240-300 - $45 for the pair. Not sure how long ago purchased so the protective material may be hard to removed on the Sunvisors, hence the price. SOLD

Re: TC supercharger and brake servo.
This is a common issue with high output muscle cars, no vacuum for the brakes booster. Some use a vacuum reserve to save the vacuum from when they have it for when needed for the brakes. But that will not help you. Other solution is a vacuum pump. Places like Jegs and Summit sell them. Most of them ...

With the condensers available today it is not uncommon to have a new one fail within 15 minutes.

Re: TC Front End Improvements-Handling
What do you mean "when people raced these cars"?. Last night I loaded the red car in the trailer for the May Lime Rock event. And the TC still runs circles around most TD's (it is a lighter car after all with the same motor)

Re: Lowering TC?
Just a little info. Almost everyone that races a TC has lowering blocks on the front with no known issues. Once you remove the front fenders and bonnet sides you will need 1/4" blocks min just to get back to normal right height.

Re: MG TA internal engine parts
When rebuilding an old motor (not MG) years ago, I found it was cheaper to have custom pistons made then buying from the usual vendors.

Ok, I will gather the parts up this weekend and send you a photo of what I have. Will get the measurements also.
The custom fitting is what I have heard also.

Re: TC bonnet needed
I have the sides panels off my race TC which are not used on the race car and top sections from another car. I have never put then side by side to see if they match (reportedly not all the bonnets left the factory the same length). If you are interested I will get them in one place and check. You wo...

Re: Need TC windscreen frame and hood frame
Believe I have both of what you are looking for. But will have to check number of bows on hood frame. Note, both items will be in need of restoration as from an old project car and sitting in shed for years.

Shim are for when you cut the head to keep the alignment of the rockers correct. Not needed on a un-cut or mild cut head

It could also be the brand of oil you are using. How long since last change. I had a car that would have great oil pressure after I changed it. But in a few months it would start to drop when hot. Changed the brand of oil I was using and problem solved.

Re: I can remove the pump aceite without remove or move from place the engine?
You can remove the pump by lifting the front of the engine. I have done it. The flexible lines that were sold on Ebay are junk and will cause a drop in oil pressure. The hole in the fitting is only 1/8". If you want to use the flexible lines get them from "From the Frame Up". They are quality and wo...

Re: Transmission front seal
Put the new seal in over the weekend, Was easier then I though as having never taken a bellhouse off the the trans in over 40 years working on TC's didn't know the seal was in the bellhousing, Which means I put sealant between the bell housing and transmission as seal only prevents oil from getting ...

Re: Transmission front seal
Well as mine is leaking, it most be a modern one in there now.
Funny thing is I took it about as rear of engine is leaking and I expected to see the clutch etc. covered in oil. But is was all really clean. Guess all the oil just runs out the hole with the cotter pin

Transmission front seal
Took car apart to replace clutch. Front seal on transmission is leaking a little. Can I remove the bell housing and replace the seal without taking the transmission apart. I am thinking so, but figured I would ask.

The TC box is the preferred box for racing a T series. So TD folks buy them up to replace the TD box.
