Thanks for that. Was that both the mains and the connecting rods?
Mine runs TC shells of the connecting rods, and they have done 15,000 mile since they were converted in the 1970s by the gentleman who restored her.
My major concern is the 3 mains, which are still white metal.

Crankshaft White Metal Bearing to Shell Bearing Replacement
Has anyone had first-hand experience in having the crankshaft white metal bearings in their MPJG (or MPJM/ MPJW) engine replaced with shell bearings, in particular the 3 mains?
If so, how successful (or not) has the modification been?

I contacted Graham Brown (Vintage & Classic Shock Absorbers). He was able to provide the comprehensive answer to question. Graham write: "These were made by Girling after they took over Luvax.
