Re: new carpet set
Can someone post a few pictures of how the carpets look installed? Specifically how the seat hinge goes under the carpet and how the the front carpet meets the rear? A few pics of the footwell with the fasteners would be helpful as well

Re: Correct MG TC Dash Screws
Jay, the smaller screw and recessed countersunk washer in your photo are correct for a wood dash. Here are two cropped photos of TCs at the factory in their early lives. The one with the wooden dash is late 1945. Though focus is not great, it clearly shows the hardware - flush countersunk washers a...

Re: Correct MG TC Dash Screws
I guess you know that all dash centers for walnut dashes were black. There was a cross over but it went the other way.(a number of cars had rexene dash with black center panel). The screws for walnut dashes were one gauge smaller than those used later with the cup washers and were countersunk into ...

Correct MG TC Dash Screws
I am working on fixing some of the wrong details on my TC. One issue is the dash screws. The ones on my car were somewhat mismatched I ordered both sets of screws from one of the suppliers just to see the difference between the rexine dash screws and the wood dash screws. It seems like almost every ...

Re: TC Forever More Tub Frame Modification and Tub Build
Rob I found some pics of the corner. Ignore the backboard in the picture as that is a mess and what prompted me to take the car apart in the first place however I believe that the arches and upper pieces to be original and untouched. The circled area in the last picture should not have a gap there. ...

Re: QUESTION FOR ANYONE WITH A MARSHALL SUPERCHARGER
After scouring the internet, this is the best setup I could find. I am going to try and make the bracket for the steering column next week. If it works out, I can make you one as well.

Re: Best Timber Parts
Rob you are unknowingly pulling me back in to my project as I too had the same exact questions and complaints you have when I was working on my yet to be completed TC tub( which was put on hold because of home renovations) Anyway, Craig Seabrook is retired and is only currently repairing gauges and ...

Re: TC Forever More Tub Frame Modification and Tub Build
To answer your question
The panels are not "let in" on the wood. They sit on top as you have shown.

Re: TC Forever More Tub Frame Modification and Tub Build
Rob If I may suggest, before you go further, is to support the car under all four wheel hubs. My understanding is it is important that the car is sitting on its suspension while rebuilding the body tub. I am going through a similar TC experience as you. Unfortunately my project has stalled due to an...
