I jut stuck them in the lathe and set up the tool with the aid of a #4 morse taper drill sleeve and bored them out to fit the axles . you will have to initially bore out the hubs to remove the splines to a diameter equal to the smallest diameter the axle, I bought a #4 morse taper reamer off EBAY to...

It is not the problem of the copper lines bursting but splitting due to work hardening of the copper . the same problem that occurs with the oil lines to and from the oil filter, occasional annealing helps overcoming the problem. The later model MGY's had a much heaver bracket fitted to the block to...

Rang the Octagon CC last night
Cam 70 38 overlap 110 degrees tappet clearance 0.012
any suggestions to what I have installed.

I used solder. took the useless sender unit out replaced it with a plate, soldered it up and have not had a leak for over 40 years

(I am pretty fortunate having my own well equipped workshop with lathe , miller, shaper etc,and the necessary tools to go with them, 50 years of collecting tools and still in the market for anything of use.

TC tappet clearance-fast road cam

I have just started up the new motor in TC4284 . After a couple of minutes running the water pump seal let go so I am waiting for a new unit from Doug Pelton ( should arrive tomorrow ), when in the UK I purchased a fast road cam from the Octagon Car Club . Can anyone advise me of the recommended tap...
