These lubrication forum discussions can run on ad nauseum! Engine: SAE 30 HD, or SAE 20W HD for colder temps. I'm using a 10 year old iPad because my laptop is sick, so
I can 't send any pictures, but I'm in Wakefield, N.H. And currently have a TC and a TD. I have owned MG's for 50 years, more than 100 of them and have restored a few.

I made bushings from some plastic 'Mollies',which are used to retain screws in wallboard. Thet were needed to remove the clearance between the bolt holes and the 5mm dia. Bolts. Wicking type thread locker is used to seal porous welds. The Loctite product is 290, A.K.A. "Afterlock'
since it is also used to thread lock fasteners which have been tightened already.
