The green vinyl had Chrysler logo on reverse side. Some one has made an attempt at retimbering but sadly doors were way out a...

Re: Front trim question
So far this is what have achieved. Once complete hope to have paint repaired to guards and running boards but Mrs warns me to get some use out of the car. I've checked the fit of rear panels and are a much better fit. As you can see I'll need to remove front passenger side kick panel and remove some...

Re: Distributor sealing
I just had my distributor rebuilt and came back with an O ring but try as I might could not get the locating bolt through ,even pressing down hard. With the O ring removed I shone a torch at locating hole and is much like a Cotter pin hole in that distributor sits firm on machines surface and locati...

Re: Ignition and fuel warning lamps
No offence to anyone but complex made simple for me is that dash bulbs not readily available but managed to find between 3 seperate shops in my home town enough 12volt watt globes for panel lights and 2 warning lamps. I'm not sure if those 2.5volt lights are easy to get but was able to retain origin...

Re: Ignition and fuel warning lamps
What I have found out from a retired Auto electrician in my local vintage motorcycle club is to forget about all that and make the complex simple Go and fit a 2 amp diode in series with a bit of heat shrink tubing . If it is fitted the correct way the light will illuminate but prevent current flowin...

Good day and happy new year I was wondering perhaps if some fellow Aussies may know some of my car's past history. I purchased about 8 yrs ago off a bloke in Maroubra and on the front badge bar was a badge belonging to a Radiography member. My car has some unique features ,one being the diff has bee...

Re: Interior piping
I also had to make the dash symmetrical as one side was a good 10mm lower on passenger side and can only guess was made to line up with the door when it was all out of shape. I have cut bottoms to align flush with metal dash sides and with piping folded around fits snugly against both doors leather ...

Re: Nuts and bolts
Good day I know these are not original but as I intend at a later stage to remove running boards and rear guards to have painted I have chosen to fit what are called lug bolts so that can refit everthing back as it was. When I had body tub painted it took only an hour or so to remove these guards et...

Good day again. Now that my car is back and all guards ,bonnets fitted Im now ready to fit trim. I thought I may as well tack the leather piping around the top of doors.
