Moss Motoring Cover
As some of you may have seen already, my TC and grand kids are on the latest cover of Moss Motoring. Moss Cover.jpg It was a fun hour to do this. Got word that Moss was looking for a helping hand photo with a fairly quick deadline to get it in. Had an hour one day between when the kids got out of sc...

Re: Yahoo message group
Norman, David here and since you cannot seem to reply to me (emails bouncing back) I guess we will have to use this forum. Let me ask a series of questions to help me better understand all that is going on. Do you have an email program that you use or do you check your emails on a website? Have you ...

Re: C45YV Dynamo repair
Well I finally traced my dynamo field winding short to ground. Each of the two field windings wrap around iron cores and there are little tabs on the core to retain the windings. Over many years, one of the tabs wore through the insulation wrapping and shorted out the coils. What I will attempt is t...

Re: Removeable Steering wheel
Are you talking about completely removing the wheel or just sliding it in and out some? To give more leg room entering and exiting shift your butt to the left. Even sitting on the tunnel if you need to will be easier than removing the wheel entirely each time. Buying a smaller wheel will help as wel...

C45YV Dynamo repair
I have traced my TC dynamo problem to a short to ground in the field windings. I had rebuilt the dynamo many, many years ago and vaguely remember some insulation issues back then but possibly the issue has risen again. At any rate, in looking at how to disassemble the dynamo I see where I had solder...

Re: TC 6710 not real good in the snow!
Norman, what a kick. Love it. Can you actually drive the chassis that way or was the chassis just pushed out of the garage? From the tire marks in the snow it looks as if it was rolled back. I do not see foot prints to the side, only a couple in front. None the less, a great photo and with permissio...

Re: Chassis number for 1949 MG TC
Hugh, Here is a photo of what the chassis number should look like. As they were hand stamped some may be fainter and paint certainly can fill in light depressions so very hard to see. By the way this photo is one from Mark Hineline who bought the bare chassis. He then found that a previous owner had...

Re: Great old photo
Things I notice are there may be two different models in the photo. The valve cover in the closer line looks shorter (4 cyl) than the model in the back line (6 cyl ?). MG PA and MG N types were built at the same period. I think those 12 parts on the bench are gear box remote units (laying upside dow...

Gene, have you learned nothing from this group? The body goes on TOP of the frame.
And that TC tub really has been modified beyond recognition.
You going to bring it to the TCMG Hobby Night this month?

Re: On-Car Camera for the Extremist
So Steve, is this what you recently were sprucing up Linda's MGA for? New windscreen as I recall. I was surprised you were replacing it with only a couple chips in it, but after seeing this camera, it looks like it could focus in on a speck of dust on the windscreen. So what show, movie or ad will t...

Re: Impressive Garages
Gene, From the comments on the first YouTube link it sounds like that is not the Sultan's collection but of one in the USA. Petty spiffy collection. But how many can you drive at once, or even in a month? But the second link appears to be the Sultan's auto holdings. Crazy. And if you put your YouTub...

OK so while there are no MGs in this garage, it is somewhat impressive.

Great photos Steve. So on your break from running a camera, you go around and take photo? So is Jim close saying about a mile east of the civic center? Maybe just west of the 101?

Peter,
I see you were able to attach the photo retroactively with the edit button (original post was missing the photo). The edit button is nice as I many times find errors in my posts after sending them.

Thanks Gene about the Jet-Hot being internal as well as external. I am pretty skeptic about the Eastwood spray lasting but thought maybe someone had tried it and could report. Cannot really view how it is lasting though until you pull the manifold off I guess.

Owan,
I love your avatar of the TC barely visible through the water spray. Very cool ! ! !
And if you wanted to, you could try imbedding the the video as Steve describes by going back to your first post and doing an edit.
