How does the rear fenders connect to the gas tank? I know there is a rubber buffer piece and a bolt but the rubber piece has a large end and a small end. 1949 TC - how should I position the seat adjustment track on the floorboard to screw it down - should the rails be as far back as the can be positioned or some distance forward of the rear ramp. Installing new floorboards and no old ones to look at for positioning the rails. Thank you for any help. ...

Does anyone have a picture of the way the trim surrounds the front striker plates - usually not a picture that's taken often in any detail and door is usually closed. Ok - just looks like in original pictures there was some kind of permanent backing plate - smaller but similar to the one on the rear - that had rounded corners and a raised rolled edge 1/2" wide around it as depicted in Michael Sherrell's TCs Forever book on page 202 top photograph that the license...
