Don't believe "weeps" or "leaks" are "fine" , But , seems that's just me . Still love my TC.

Well, " fine " is a bit ambiguous . Weep and leak are not .

I'm 71 and am restoring a 61 Morgan +4 SS that was started in 1979( I'm third owner) . Just finished a 1948 "force fed " TC. You don't have to finish the project , It's the process. 69 is the new 49.

The radiator removal is really quite easy. Crankshaft pully ,timing chain cover, and oil pan as well. Once you're there ,all the things you've wanted to get at are accessable.

What is reasonable ?

I'm showing my 1948 "force fed" TC in Ferndale CA. on Oct. 8 at the second annual Concourse . If any of your are around , it should be fun.

These are front shocks . The gaiters seem to be black canvas .

I've separated and cleaned the leafs . They've never been painted just graphite grease. seem to be the originals . They were encased in gaiters not leather . Are these markings of any significance or just the shop where they were forged?

Marv : Got some Teflon liners.Will that do with paint and graphite? Thanks again.

I'm having a heck of a time bending the clips back to separate the leafs . Can I apply some heat , or will that destroy the integrity of the metal ? I've been able to bend the inside clips ,but , the outer smaller ones no.
