Hello all togehter,
I just work my way through a 1938 TA which I purchased recently.
For me it is the first pre war car, so I run into several problems / questions.
On the dashboard the is a knob for the slow running adjustment.
Unfortunately the cable is ripped of completely so I cant follow to where
it has to go.
I understand roughly that it is fot the adjustment of the ignition ?...
You see out of this question I am not really an car electric expert.
So, for what is this adjustment and where is the cable
connected in the motor area?
Appologize for my not perfect english , I try my best as an old German.

Re: Slow Running Cable on TA
I really know little about TA's but I believe the slow running adjustment hooks to the carb linkage to increase idle speed just like the TB and TC, it does not have anything to do with ignition timing. Perhaps a TA owner can jump in.
