OCTAGON CAR CLUB INDEX

Post by Ned EYLES » Thu Dec 09, 1999 10:50 pm

Back in 1991 i put together a rather simple index to cover the more important technical items, published between 1984 and 1991. this was published in the bulletin. Each year since ,an index has been published in jan or feb for the previous year (not my work) i suggested somebody might like to tackle the pre 1984 period no takers so far. but so few have the bulletins.. However as of next month ,the editor is doing a reprint of the more important technical items from the past. good reason to join .

Anyone have an extra copy of the March 92 Bulletin? Skip Burns, if you don't have the TSO referenced, I can copy this article and send to you.....Thanks to all the others that suggested it was in TSO.
Cheers

Thanks Larry, wouldn't you know it that the March 1992 Bulletin is the only issue that I have misplaced or lost. I do have the TSO article and that is the one I was remembering.....so Bob was right, I was having an Old-Timers moment.

Altette Horn

Altette Horn

Another reference is a reproduction of the Lucas Instructions for Fitting and Maintenance of "Altette" Horns models HF 1234 and HF 1235.

Dick Knudsen put it on page 9 of the May/June 1984 T.S.O. (probably yet one more item from his personal collection of M.G. literature).

Of course, T.S.O. also has its index, but I'm not sure if it has been updated. I am ploughing through all my copies and putting anything technical or historical on a database. I have already done everything put out by the M.G.C.C. T-Register in our own Bulletins & Newsletters (inc. Safety Fast!) and also TCs Forever.

I believe the O.C.C. index has been taken over by Lyn Harcombe, but have not spoken to him for a while. I would be only too pleased to "do" the Bulletin, but do not have the first 173 issues!
