No problem at all Brian, but I fear I have nothing but not so good news. I found out replacing the bearings is not that big a deal, but setting it up afterwards is. Things such as end play, pre load etc.. I have asked a multitude of people where I live (Victoria BC) and most don't want to do it and those that will want a ton of money (as in 800 plus). I found it would be cheaper to mail the thing down to the States to have done, and probably will at some point. I also found out this is something I do not want to do, I'm pretty decent at most things on a car but this is not something I'm going to do, far too important and I just don't have the knowledge. A bit frustrating.. sorry I can't help more. Pat

Why not swap in a Spridget differential? http://www.mg-tabc.org/library/diff.htm

They're occasionally available on ebay very reasonably - I've used a 4.55 and a 4.22 (supercharged engine).
