TC Flywheel Weight

Post by Nick Fitzhugh » Thu Jan 22, 2015 2:46 am

Can anyone tell me the original weight of the TC flywheel? I have dismantled the engine and I am now planning for the engineering work. The pistons are +20 but the crank has not been reground (52mm and 45mm) but I believe has been replaced (168557 which is the later crank)

Regards

If I recall correctly, it's about 22 pounds. I lightened mine down to 16 and it's still perfectly drivable.

See Bob Grunau's drawing on lightening the flywheel in the Resources section of the website.
