My TA (early wide body/narrow fenders) fenders roll out as they slope down towards the rear of the car. Both fenders do this but I don't think they should. The attached picture I think shows what I'm talking about. It would be like a children's slide that twists at the bottom instead of straight. Since the pointed ends of the fenders are not the same it is difficult to tell what they should look like.
I suspect they should go straight back like a slide and not twist at the bottom but prior repairs and distorted them. From what I can tell with a few online pictures from a wide and narrow body tas, the fenders should not roll out as they sweep down.
Advise?
Thanks, Mike
TA Wide Body rear fender qustion
Re: TA Wide Body rear fender qustion
Yes, one of mine twists out, also; one of the reasons they probably went to wider fenders with a stiffening rib. I pulled on mine as I marked the "new" support hole for the gas tank bolt (after having the old one filled) and a couple of closer ones! Jan/Cincinnati
