FT27 Foglight

Post by hughpite » Mon Jan 07, 2013 9:39 am

I posted this request on the old index but will ask the same question here.
I have a FT27 foglight that appears to be missing the medallion that is on the cross bar. Does anyone have a description of this missing part, or better yet a picture?
Cheers, Hugh Pite

Hugh, some time ago, I made contact with the old gentleman in the UK that makes these. He sold me some parts to complete one of mine. I'll have to do some research to find the contact info.

I wouldn't be surprised if Doug Pelton has one of these he could photograph for you and post here.

Hi Hugh,
The medallion is the standard Lucas Medallion, @ 5/8" diameter. Don't have 1 on hand but can get if you do not find one. Doug Pelton, FTFU

Anybody have a spare, reasonably priced, FT-27 driving fog light available? I might find an SFT462 light unit to trade or cash?

I have a SFT 462 fog lamp on TC 0780. I believe it needs the FT -27. Will trade the original for a decent FT27 or even a nice repro.

I am trying to complete a Lucas Type FT27 fog lamp for a customer.
Have a shell, with the bulb socket, and reflector. Also has the stem,
with cupped washer, star washer, and nut.
Is the lens flat? If so, can have a glass shop cut one.
Need:
Cross-bar with MG emblem.
Retaining rim with screw.
And, anything else you can see from the photos that is missing.

Thanks for any and all leads,
