123 distributor
123 distributor
Hello, I bought for ma MG TC a 123 distributor. I think the installation will be very easy.
But i don't understand which from the 16 possibilities from the special curve I should use.
I don't understand what I should do
I have a standard camshaft inside the engine

Re: 123 distributor
Good question. I feel like #2 would be the place to start. Unless I'm mistaken, that seems like the closest to stock.
Re: 123 distributor
Thank you for the quick answer, what is he difference between the different possibilities?

Re: 123 distributor
The main specification I'm looking at is where maximum advance occurs. If I recall correctly, max advance on a stock TC distributor occurs at 3500 RPM and 16 degrees. It looks like the 123 offers curves with a bit more advance, probably for modern fuel blends. Hopefully someone a bit more versed in advance curves will chime in.
Re: 123 distributor
the nearest is number 1, 3600/17

Re: 123 distributor
You're right, I didn't notice that the first one was zero. so I meant the second one on the list, which is actually number one.

Franz-
It it a standard GB-4-R from the 123 website, or did you have to special order?
