TC Windscreen
Hi all. I have had the parts of my TC windscreen re-chromed and have started the rebuild however I have a concern. The threaded bar that sits inside the side post has 4 holes on the original and only 3 on the replacement. Does this indicate I have a TD screen and if so will that be a problem? The brackets that bolt onto the scuttle are not a great fit at present but not anything I can't sort out pre spray work and the trial fit before disassembly wasn't bad. The car was a long abandoned project when I got it so these sorts of issues have not been uncommon! Any advice much appreciated. Cheers. Tim.

Hi Tim, having rebuilt a number recently, may I ask if there are/where also 4 holes in the chromed upright too? Both sides? Can/could have been modified to receive a none standard mirror bracket if its just the nearside! If you did have 4 holes in the chrome bit did you fill it before chroming? 3 holes is the correct number anyway, Chris

Re: TC Windscreen
Hi Chris. Its the hole between the 2 studs on the outer chrome part that doesn't seem to have anything to line up with. The Moss catalogue seems to show this hole but the three holes in the inner bar line up with holes higher up that seem correct. I have had a few 'modification ' holes blanked before chroming and if this one wouldn't be there I will just extend the inner bar to accept a screw - there are 4 hole in total in the outer chrome part.
Cheers.
