Peter Edney/XPAG Developments
Does anyone have any information on whether Peter Edney/XPAG Developments in the UK is operational? I've ordered some more go-fast bits for TC3306 and have been trying to contact their office for some time re shipping. TIA.

I've heard of other people having trouble with emailing him but supposedly he is answering phones. I haven't tried myself though.

Thanks Simon. I thought rather than trying to navigate the time difference (AUS >UK) to make a phone call, I would ask the question on the forum. Hoping that they are not in a COVID lockdown!

I was looking at some items that he was selling through e-bay a few weeks ago and asked him a question via the e-bay system. I got a reply within a day, so maybe you could try that route?

Re: Peter Edney/XPAG Developments
I fell out with him when he was supposed to ship parts for my TC rebuild. They didn't arrive and it took me 6 weeks to get an answer. His reason: "I had a car to finish and didn't have time to answer the phone" I asked why he didn't respond to my emails and the answer was "oh, I don't read them, they're full of junk".
He said that he's asked Moss to send them but having been in the trade I knew Carl (at Moss Bradfords) response before I rang him. It was, as expected, we don't have dealers and do their shipping for them, all your parts have been shipped to him.
They did turn up the following week, in a box with other parts that he'd presumably ordered in it. I never bothered sending them back.

Peter is anxious to get out of retail and concentrate on his engine building.

If all of the above is the case, then Peter should not entertain ecommerce channels - either through his site or through eBay - as folk tend to develop an expectation that once they have placed an order (in my case just over $500 AUD), their order will be fulfilled. The delays will impact the build time no doubt, but its the lack of clarity that stings the most.
I've now called and left a message on the unmanned phones. Short of the lack of communications oweing to a COVID disruption, Peter is not doing his brand any favours.

Re: Peter Edney/XPAG Developments
I could be wrong, but I think that Peter is sometimes the middle man and gets his supplies from a third party manufacturer and then charges a mark up. I'm not knocking him for this as it can take a while to find the manufacturer even if they sell to the public, and other companies do the same thing, so he is supplying a service.
Depending on exactly what it is you want, a bit of internet research might find the manufacturer and save you some money and time. For example, he sells solid copper gaskets to use when the head has been over skimmed but you can buy the same thing direct from Cometic for a lower price.

Re: Peter Edney/XPAG Developments
He was a Moss dealer and, I expect, having been in the motor trade for 56 years will get 25% discount from them. He is happy to pass on 15% of that whereas Moss will only give 10% if you join their rebuild club thingie.
That's great but if he hasn't time to deal with orders it's of little value. I went to NTG after that and got very good service from Mike and Linda. I would recommend NTG everytime,

Re: Peter Edney/XPAG Developments
I debated with myself about chiming in. In my dealings with Peter I have always received what I ordered, and the quality was as advertised. I think I've done about $7,000 USD with him over 2018 to 2020. Communication with him regarding order status was poor starting in 2020. COVID probably has something to do with it.
BTW I certainly agree with Norman about NTG- Its as if they shipped immediately. Only took 5 days from UK to my front door in California.

Martin, when I purchased from him the stuff came from Moss. As a matter of interest, The Moss rear lamps are crap. NTG get the same lamp from the same Chinese supplier but then get their electrician to modify them so the PCB doesn't fall off when you put a bulb in.
