High speed camshaft

Post by jddevel » Mon May 17, 2021 5:12 am

. So if I decide to fit a new camshaft is it worth considering the high speed camshaft? I`m not really going for extra performance purely as it`s all in pieces worth thinking about.

Every camshaft is a compromise somehow. Higher performance camshafts will usually lose low end torque and vice versa. I prefer a middle of the road design, that retains as much low end torque as possible while giving me a bit more power overall with the downside of a lumpier idle.
