XPAG side plate

Post by Mark Robinson » Tue Sep 28, 2021 3:20 pm

As the breather pipe is the wrong diameter to marry up with the outlet, I assume I have the incorrect engine side plate. Any idea what it's off? Thanks

It looks like an X Series side plate, but I've never seen one like it. Looks a little too nicely executed to be homemade. I would guess it must be off a Morris, Austin, etc of some sort.

Thanks Steve. I now think it's from the Wolseley 4/44 XPAW engine.

yes I've seen them on the Wolseley 4/44's ... it does pose the question to whether these are better than the standard side plate and if are better, why?
