Starting handle

Post by JonnyP » Mon Oct 17, 2022 2:40 pm

Can anyone tell me the correct diameter for the spigot on the end of TC starting handle please? The end with the pin that goes into dog nut on the end of the crank. The handle with the car seems to be too wide to go into the hole in the nut, so the pin won’t engage in the dogs.

I have two crank handles. They both have spigots which measure very close to 16mm or .625". The strange thing is that one cross pin is 33mm long and the other is 26mm long! Maybe someone trimmed one down or they varied from the factory? Before the slimmed-down spigot bit, the handles are about 19mm thick. They vary a few thou' depending on where they are measured.

Thanks Bob, that helps massively, I’ll check mine for comparison tomorrow.

Thanks Jonny
