Rubber, bonnet to cowl

Post by ferricsteed » Fri Feb 24, 2023 5:34 pm

Easy questions, what type and size screws hold the rubber to the cowl which the bonnet rests on? Oval head screws without washers? Distance between screws?
I threw the old rubber away before measuring the distances.

They did not use screws. A type of tack.

Specification 259 calls for 24 off Panel pins 3/4” long.

You are likely better off using pins that won't rust.

Thank you! Pins it will be. Great pic showing pins. I'll install 24 pins equi-distant.

Similar to a typical finishing nail in US, but shorter. Like these:

Try these - 20mm long, and you'll have plenty of spares! ;)

Edit. Sorry, forgot you're in the States.
