TC Radiator Shell Wanted

I received the unwanted news the other day that my TC radiator shell is beyond economic repair.

Does anyone have one that they want to sell? If the price is right, I'm happy to have it rechromed, but it needs to be in day trip distance from Nottingham, UK so that I can inspect as I've previously had my fingers burnt buying one without an inspection.

This might be slightly better than yours; still needs a lot of work though..

Yes, I spotted that one. The opinion from an expert restorer is that it's essentially scrap for bits to cut out and therefore worth about £50. I'll keep looking.

Just thinking outside the box for a moment; and it's obviously a long shot...but I would try phoning around chrome plating firms to see if by chance they might have one. Sometimes they have customers who - for whatever reason - don't collect.

As I say, it probably would come to nothing but maybe worth a try.?

I also note in reading both this article and similar on the subject that unless you had already discovered this that the TD radiator is virtually identical. So some one may have one of those spare- unless of course you are desperate for originality.

I would be happy with a TD one as I'm not that bothered about 100% period originality. I notice that they come up a little more often, but I'm not keen on the ones on e-bay at the moment so I'll bide my time.
