Bodywork

Post by timandgerda » Sat May 04, 2024 2:41 am

Hi all. Just a quick question - There is a nail on the door post on my TC body tub (see attached picture). Should this be there and if so should it be hammered in and filled over or left visible? Cheers. Tim.file.php

Hi Tim,

Mine only has pins in from the side and the metal is usually such a tight fit on the wood, I cannot see why a nail/pin in the middle would be helpful. If yours is needed for some reason and cannot be removed, I would be tempted to fill over it.

BTW, mine isn't finished yet - too many other things to do but I'm making a bit more progress now.

Hi Steve - good to hear from you. I have decided to punch the pins deep and fill over. As you can see my TC project is also not yet complete but moving forward slowly :)
