Wheel tracking/alignment
Wheel tracking/alignment
Anyone used or experienced with the gunson trakrite g4008 wheel alignment gauge in setting up wire wheels on in my case a TC. Gunson advise that they are suitable but being eternally sceptical thought I`d ask.

Re: Wheel tracking/alignment
I have not tried it but it seems to be a good product. Amazon has it for US buyers.
The reviews say you have to keep it clean, and understand the concepts of alignment and how to set it up accurately on your garage floor. The floor has to be flat and level.
I would draw long straight guide lines on the floor with a chalk line and pray clear lacquer over them.
But being a penny pincher, I have always used plumb bobs held against the side of the tire front and back.
