Bleeding the brakes on my TC. All went well.
The "Instruction Manual" says to "keep (the m/c) topped up to within one inch of the cap". Does this mean to within one inch of the top of the threads for the cap, or within one inch of the top of the larger diameter supply tank below the threads? If the former it basically means another 1/2 inch of fluid level.
Just don't want to overfill the supply tank.

Re: Newbie Brake Maintenance Question
I fill it so the level is below the neck.

Re: Newbie Brake Maintenance Question
So long as the level is above the shield in the MC, you have enough. The actual level isn't critical, it's just a reservoir of extra fluid. Do leave a bit of space at the top or you run the risk of some squirting out the breather hole when you release the brakes.

Re: Newbie Brake Maintenance Question
Thanks, Steve. I was thinking just above the shield as well.
