New project MGTB needs many wood parts that a current and ongoing MGTC project has in surplus that may also be interchangeable and usable.
How much interchangeability is there?
Looking at the history of the coachwork wood parts pre-war and post-war seems to indicate that the wood parts of the MGTA-TB are mostly interchangeable with the MGTC except those few pieces around the area of the door hinge posts and upper curve of the rear wheel well where the shoulder area was expanded.
For example: measurement of an actual door from the MGTB seems to be nearly identical with the MGTC. The hinge pillar itself seems to vary only by the shape of the tenon mortise with the frame timber.
Noted that From The Frame Up gives different part numbers for TA-TB wood than the corresponding wood parts of the MGTC but possibly the actual parts are nearly identical and only numbered separately for their inventory purposes. [Separate inquiry will be made with FTFU]
-- Also noted that there is even some small dimensional variations of these wood parts depending upon the source supplier. Of course, expect to do some whittling and fitting on any wood part since these are getting to be hard to obtain.
I am sure this has been encountered by others on this Forum previously, so any comment or observations will be appreciated.

Re: Parts swap wood between MGTB and MGTC
Good day. I have a TB, many wood pieces do interchange. I compare Moss USA and Moss UK (actually just Moss UK) to see which parts have the same part numbers.
To answer your specific questions, I did not notice any difference in the vertical hinge posts and forward. The main differences were in the slightly slanted backboard and how the 90° quarter panels line up that builds to the side screen box. To be honest, once sheetmetal is hung and interior and hood top are installed, one would be hard pressed to notice the differences. I personally stayed with the TB parts and did my whittling. Craig Seabrook IN USA still makes TB wood pieces, FTFU sells them. Have fun!

Re: Parts swap wood between MGTB and MGTC
I am rebuilding a TA with the B270 body know as "late narrow" which I believe is the same as for TB.
I was sent some TC parts by mistake, and found the rocker rails (arched timbers just below the doors) were not right, wrong shape for TA/TB.
I sent them back and got the right ones TA007/008 or BT107L/R.
Even so I had to use a belt sander on them to get the doors to fit right. I'm using the original doors.
My backboard TA016 or BT212 also was not right, may have been a TC part, but I had already modified it when I discovered it was wrong, so I did not send it back.
Some of my parts came from Hutson and some from Frame Up, but I don't remember which.
So I'm saying do a lot of trial fitting with clamps before you drill screw holes and commit yourself.

i forgot to mention the back rail part TA015 or TC22 was also too wide, again a TC part.
