cylinder head casting no

the cylinder head casting number on my TC is 22952......any way to interpret the date of the casting from this ?

No. That is the standard TC head casting number that indicates oval holes and 1/2" reach spark plugs.

The block does have a coded casting date. Here, just above the dipstick hole is 8 D 9 which indicates 8th of April, 1949 for a car that came off the assembly line 4th October 1949. Sometimes the casting date is upside down.

thank you duncan...........actually. i found another series of numbers on the head.......9 D 7 i am wondering if
that perhaps may date it. maybe 9 april 47 ? it has a morris replacement engine with a block dated 13 may 49
