TA Clutch Query

Post by phil cassie » Sun Jan 03, 2016 1:35 am

To fellow TA owners a clutch query. Between the flywheel & clutch plate there are 3 small springs to help release the flywheel &clutch plate when the clutch is disengaged. There is also a large circlip to limit the clutch plate movement & prevent the clutch plate from bearing on the pressure plate when the clutch is thrown.Recently my circlip jumped off allowing these 3 springs to push the clutch plate against the pressure plate causing the clutch to drag on disengagement.
After a long winded explanation, my question is Are these 3 springs & circlips really necessary?
Do I Refit circlip
Fit 3 smaller circlips 1 to each pin
Simply dispense with 3 springs & circlip
