Side Panel Installation

Post by LFD059 » Wed Mar 30, 2016 11:07 am

Just wondering, is it best to remove the door to install new side panels on the work bench, or install in place? Thanks

In Place has always worked for me on TD's, MGB's and a MGA. Don't see why the TC would be any different.

Assume you mean front and rear quarter panels? I had the doors off since they required rectification and I was building up a new tub anyway, but it would seem that it is easier to nail the new quarters in place without having the doors in the way.

Thanks, will take your advice and attach side panels while doors are attached.

My doors have been taken off. But, they have been removed leaving the hinges on. Theory is they should go back on aligned. I'll see if I remember to take some pictures in the morning.
