Hello
Advice question:
I need to move my TC to my new home sooner rather than later, and am in a slight pickle time-wise making it happen. At the moment, I have a new wheel bearing on one side, and an older wheel bearing on the other side of the differential carrier. All I want to do is roll my TC out of the garage, plop it on a trailer, and tow the trailer about 300 miles to South Bend where the new garage is.
Anyway, what I was wondering was what the safest way to move the car would be at this time? Should I put my old halfshafts back into the hubs and bolt it all together like it was, hopefully not damaging my lip seal in the process? Can I leave the halfshafts out or will this put excessive stress on my rear bearing carriers? Inquiring mind would like to know.
Rolling On Hubs without halfshafts?

I would put it on a trailer for sure. If it isn't moving, the bare hubs might be fine, but you could always brace it with jack stands and lash it down well.

From the garage to the trailer and back into a garage it should be safe without the axles, Kam. They don't provide support to the wheels, simply motion. Remember, if you break an axle the wheel doesn't fall off.
