Hello All
I believe the noise described in my recent post "Drive-shaft Dilemma" is caused by my failure to tighten the pinion nut sufficiently. I am aiming to torque it to between 100 and 120 ft-lb. I haven't been able to confirm that this is the right value. What are the opinions out there? Is there a risk in torquing the nut using with the car on the ground to provide resistance through the diff, half-shafts, and tires? Your thoughts would be appreciated.
