Transmission Gear Lube for 47TC

Post by LFD059 » Tue Jun 06, 2017 7:51 am

Had a recommendation to use Schaffers - 293 Supreme Gear Lube 75W-90 for the transmission, however checked with the manufacturer who said No, as it's not classified as GL4. In checking around I found the brand Amsoil - Synthetic manual Transmission and Transaxle Gear Lube 75W-90 GL 4. Anyone have experience with this or other good GL 4 Gear Lube?

I thought it should be 140W but, of course, I could be wrong.

The manual calls for 140. I run a straight 140 oil from Stay-Lube but may change to Redline to see if there is a difference in performance, as reported by others.
