TA Wiper Motor
TA Wiper Motor
Good morning All,
I have an issue with the wiper motor in which the motor does not want to rotate.
There is 12v supply to the motor and a supply at the switch breaker contact, however the motor will still not rotate.
I have cleaned all the contacts and checked the gearbox is not solidified with old grease, however electrics I am less knowledgeable with.
Any suggestions please
Ian

Re: TA Wiper Motor
If you have a shop nearby that does generators, alternators and starter motors, Take it to them, they can probably test it, Brown and Gammons may be a place you can send it as well.

In the past I`ve found that with early type motors, wear in the armature bearings are suficient to jam it and prevent rotation. I assume you`ve "spun" it manually to ensure it`s free?

Yes, everything moves freely, just not under it's own steam
