TC tappet clearance-fast road cam
I have just started up the new motor in TC4284 . After a couple of minutes running the water pump seal let go so I am waiting for a new unit from Doug Pelton ( should arrive tomorrow ), when in the UK I purchased a fast road cam from the Octagon Car Club . Can anyone advise me of the recommended tappet clearances and the valve timing for this cam ?

G'day Ross,
Did you ask the Octagon Car Club if they have this information? If they sell it they should have the info or be able to tell you where to get it.

Re: TC tappet clearance-fast road cam
When I purchased the Crane cam for my XPAG, it came with a data and spec sheet that gave the valve clearance information. (18 thou inlet, 20 thou exhaust, as near as I can remember).
And yes, I left the ".019" brass plate on the valve cover, as it is the average, right?

OK
Rang the Octagon CC last night
Cam 70 38 overlap 110 degrees tappet clearance 0.012
any suggestions to what I have installed.
