How was the MG badge on supercharged cars made? What material?

This is being reproduced very nicely, but I'm pretty sure they weren't laser-cut stainless.

Does anyone know?

Thanks.

I'm fairly certain lasers were not used in the 1930's and 40s.

I've gotten an answer. they were cut from brass sheet, silver-soldered where necessary and then chromed.

That sounds correct to me, and consistent with what I've been told by friends with pre-war cars. Steel or brass sheet, chromed. A friend had an original but sold it to a fellow with a K3.
