Change point from two to one window on the TC hood?

Hello! I've recently joined the world of MG TC ownership with the purchase of TC6567, built in September 1948. Though largely restored some time ago, there are some minor issues I'm looking into as its new owner. Reading through what I can find, the hoods on the TC changed from having two separated windows into the single larger window at some point in 1948, but I was wondering if anyone knows around what chassis number or date this happened. As it stands, my car has a replaced hood in duck canvas, with the two windows and a 5 inch long tear in it that has been patched, but not very prettily. I'm not likely to make much actual use of the hood, though Oregon is renowned for its rain, as I have other classic British cars better suited to it, but it's perhaps one of the more obvious flaws on the vehicle, at least when the hood is up, and I'm unsure which rear window is correct for my production date.

I think Sherrell points out the change from twin to single took place prior to TC5000 approx.

Thank you very much! I haven't managed to get my hands on Sherrell's book yet, though I have a copy on the way from a used bookseller in the UK. It will take a while to get here. I greatly appreciate the information now, however, as I plan the future work that should be done on the car.

I have the same uncertainty about the the window on TC 4438 that I'm restoring. Sherrell states on page 66 that the changeover point was between 3399 and 5113.
