We're off on a short road trip.
We're off on a short road trip.
The car is ready, the sun is shining. All we have to do is pack some clothes and drive off.
The run is from Scarborough to Morecambe on Sunday. The route hasn't been issued yet but it's about 160 miles and said to be challenging. We like challenging.
We're driving down to Scarborough today, doing the run on Sunday, then returning home on Monday. We expect to cover around 350 miles all in.
Since this trip was planned we though it would be a good idea to try to raise some funds for charity and have set up a donations page for The British Heart Foundation. https://www.justgiving.com/Owen-Frankland.
It should be fun and I'll share pictures after we return

Thanks, Gene.
We made the trip, not trouble free, but we made it. 382 miles door to door. Clutch adjustment problems delayed us by an hour on the Saturday. The run on the Sunday was trouble free, but a worsening misfire made the journey home on Monday a bit tense.

Now that's a weekend well spent.

It was a great weekend, Steve.
Here's some video of the morning part of the run.

Nice trip, and for a great cause. I love the sound of the engine on the video. It makes me want to drop what I'm working on and go for a drive.
