Post by Norman Golm » Thu Sep 12, 2013 12:01 pm

I just finished TC 6710 and thought you guys may enjoy pictures of the car. I have also posted a very detailed description of the restoration. The car is for sale by the way.

A fantastic job! Thanks for including the reference to Ray Feeny's research on the other thread. He says:
"This is a very dark BRG with a strong bluish tint. It can require a second look to not think it is black - particularly if it is not in direct sunlight. This is a true Jaguar color and quite popular on XKE’s and on XK120 and XK140 cars. To my eye, on cars like an Austin Healey or an MGA it looks too dark."
Now I don't quite get that impression with your TC - clearly it is green, not black nor blue.

Of course light makes all the difference, but this seems seems closer to Mr. Feeny's description:

Anyone out there familiar with Jag paint codes?
