Exhaust coating

Has anyone tried the internal exhaust coating from Eastwood? Spray it on the inside of the manifold and reduce under hood temperatures they claim. Should help prevent carb heat up too. Paint the front pipe of the pipe that attaches to the manifold as well makes sense too. I know the external manifold coatings such as Jet-Hot do the same thing but this sounds interesting and probably cheaper.

Would not count on it with any of the stuff, the manifold on TC2911 is ceramic coated and you can still get a nasty burn if you touch it.

Dave,

The Jet-Hot system is applied internally in the exhaust manifold as well as on the outside.

As for the Eastwood system, I don't trust paint-on type exhaust coatings. They may last for a period of time (short?) but I can't see them being effective over the long haul.

Thanks Gene about the Jet-Hot being internal as well as external. I am pretty skeptic about the Eastwood spray lasting but thought maybe someone had tried it and could report. Cannot really view how it is lasting though until you pull the manifold off I guess.

I haven't tried the Eastwood coating but I've tried a few generic manifold paints and they all failed miserably. I sent one off to Jet Hot and it held up quite well other than a few stains.
