Hi - my first post here ...
I have a '47 TC (TC2991) which was imported from the USA & which I hope to get round to restoring in the near future.
There are various alterations/modifications that have been carried out over the past 67 years (fibreglass F&R wings, telescopic front shock absorbers, heater, etc) & a couple of 'brackets' attached to the bulkhead which I haven't seen on any other TC's & wondered if anyone could shed some light on their possible function - here are a couple of pictures:
First is a right angle bracket near to the regulator (& non-original starter solenoid)
- & second is attached to the side of the battery box just below the ID plate:
Any ideas ?

Re: Unidentified brackets on TC bulkhead
I have no idea what they are, but my guess would be that the first one was to hold some accessory or ignition component. The second one almost looks like an electrical splice. Or maybe a makeshift bonnet prop socket?

Re: Unidentified brackets on TC bulkhead
Hi, def not original. I live in Solihull if you wanted to get in touch. I'm three years in to my rebuild and have completely refurbed the bulkhead, including filling over twenty 'extra' holes which appeared over the years.

Thanks Ian - it would be good to come over & have a look at your car - I'll be in touch in the near future.
