Hi All,
I am now starting to build the big brother to my son's miniature MG C-type out of a 1947 TC chassis. Has anyone done the twin leading shoe brake conversion with MGA front drum brakes?
Thanks
David

Re: TC MGA Twin Leading Shoe Conversion
David...
The only twin leading shoe brake conversion I'm aware of is the one documented here: http://www.mg-tabc.org/library/new_brakes.htm
The one thing that stands out is the need for 9" front drum brakes - I don't think the MGA has those.

I wrote an article for "Totally T Type 2" in April 2014 about converting the TC to Twin Leading Shoes. I imagine the MGA back plates are similar to the TD in which case you could not use them as the offset is opposite to the TC.
