MG T-ABC

Hello, New to this forum but can see that everyone seems very keen to help. I am restoring my 1937 MG TA engine. The camshaft centre bearing is completely shot. The camshaft is fine having had just 0.002" grind on bearings. The problem is my centre bearing is of the solid white metal type and hence cannot be re-metaled. Apparently there are some MPJG camshaft bearings which are metal or bronze which can be re-metaled (see picture). I have tried ever parts supplier I can find in the UK to source a new bearing of either material but cannot find one. I have been told numerous times that this bearing is not available. I cannot be the only TA owner to need a new centre bearing! Does anyone know where I can get one?
PS. The other two camshaft bearings are no problem to cast in white metal as they are just simple round bearings.

i just posted pics of what this bearing looks like, it also has a white metal lining, still haven't found any new for sale but at least we now know what to look for, thanks Justin

Magnor, contact Adrian Wilkes of Gosnay Engineering in Romford 01708 740668. Late last year he had a camshaft centre bearing made for a restorer in Kent, and also a small batch of 5 MPJG counter-balanced crankshafts. I purchased one of the cranks back in December, I believe he had 2 left. I don't know if he had more than one camshaft centre bearing made though. I have a bronze centre bearing which will go in my spare engine when it is built along with the new crank and camshaft.
