My '49 TC is in the shop for a gearbox leak. The rear gearbox cover plate is toast. It was repaired incorrectly long before I bought the car in 1972.
Anybody got a spare cover plate they are willing to sell?

Bob...can't you have it rewelded? Most have been by now...and Bob Grunau sells a steel reinforcement plate which you can add to keep it from ever breaking again. Or you may try www.fromtheframeup.com and see what Doug Pelton has in stock.
